Finance repayment calculator

Before you sign for a tractor, header, ute or more land, see what the repayments come to - weekly, fortnightly or monthly - and what a balloon at the end really costs. Bring the rate from your own quote.

The loan

The tractor, header, ute, land or working capital. Include GST only if you will finance it.

Cash you put in, plus what the dealer gives you for your trade.

From your own quote. 8% is only an example - we don’t show lenders’ rates.

Machinery is often 3 to 7 years; land loans much longer.

A lump sum still owing after the last repayment. 0 if none.

Before you sign

  • Ask for the comparison rate. It rolls the interest and most fees into one figure, so two quotes can be compared fairly - for the same amount and term. Moneysmart explains it.
  • Balloons lower the repayments, not the cost. You still owe the lump sum at the end and usually pay more interest in all. Plan how you’ll pay it - Moneysmart on balloon payments.
  • Match it to your season. Farm income comes in waves. Ask lenders whether repayments can follow harvest or sale time.
  • GST and tax. How GST, depreciation and interest are treated depends on the type of finance and your business. Ask your accountant before you choose.

Ready to talk numbers?

Our sister brand Pay In Time Finance takes applications for equipment, machinery, land and working-capital finance. Any offer, rate and fees come from them, not from this calculator.

An estimate only, in Australian dollars, from the numbers you enter: interest worked out each repayment period, repayments at the end of each period, no fees or charges, and the rate fixed for the whole term. Real loans can differ. This is not a quote, an offer of credit or financial advice, and REALM does not provide credit. Nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere. Buying land or a vehicle?
