Draft for review. This wording comes from the current REALM draft and still needs a lawyer’s review before launch. Check against the new site: it sets only the two sign-in cookies listed under "What this website stores" below (plus Google’s own cookies if a visitor taps "Show map"), with no analytics or marketing cookies, so it has no cookie banner. The reCAPTCHA, cookie-banner and payment wording came from the old draft and may need to change.
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. REALM uses them to keep the site working and to understand how it's used.
What this website stores
- realm_site (cookie, essential)
- Keeps you signed in to your REALM account on this website. Set only when you sign in; lasts up to 12 hours or until you sign out. Not readable by page scripts. Your REALM account itself is run by REALM Accounts (accounts.realmgroupglobal.org).
- realm_flow (cookie, essential)
- Protects the sign-in step against forgery. Lasts 10 minutes and is removed as soon as sign-in finishes.
- realm-live-chat (browser storage)
- Only if you start a "Chat with a person" conversation: lets the chat continue on other pages of this site on the same device. Cleared when you end the chat or after 24 hours.
- realm-contact-draft (browser storage)
- Only if you start typing a message in our contact form: keeps your unsent message, topic, country and Listing ID on your own device so you don't lose it if the page closes or you lose signal. Your name, email and phone are never saved. Deleted when the message is sent, when you tap "Clear draft", or after 7 days.
- realm-offline (browser cache)
- Keeps a copy of our "You're offline" page, logo, font and icon so we can show a friendly message if you lose signal. Contains no personal information and is replaced when the website updates.
- REALM Front Desk chat (only if you use the chat)
- Our chat window may be run by REALM Front Desk, the REALM group’s shared chat inbox at frontdesk.realmgroupglobal.org. Messages you type there, and a name or email if you choose to give them, go to REALM staff so they can answer you. An automated assistant answers simple questions from the information published on this website; it is not a person, and it hands anything about payments, accounts, complaints, legal or finance questions to a person. This website does not log or keep your name, email or messages when the assistant answers. Please never share passwords, card or bank details, or ID numbers in a chat.
- Google Maps (third party, only if you ask)
- The map on the Contact page loads only when you tap "Show map". Google may then set its own cookies under its privacy policy.
- Essential cookies
- Keep you logged in, protect forms with reCAPTCHA, remember your cookie choice and process payments.
- Analytics cookies
- Show us which pages are popular so we can improve them, used only if you accept them.
- Marketing cookies
- Used only if we later run ads or social media tracking, and only with your consent.
Your choices
Use the cookie banner to accept or decline non-essential cookies, or block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may stop working.
